About Mike

Growing up in southern Indiana, my family and I packed our bags and traveled to Columbus, Ohio, when I was just a kid in 1992. I was like many other kids with big dreams, hoping one day I would be a pro baseball player or wrestler. Baseball was my happy place, and I practically lived on the diamond. With Mom, Dad, my older brother Matt, and our dog Bear, life was full of fun and laughter. One of my favorite memories was our family trip to Disney when I was three. I looked up to my parents a lot and also admired my coaches and friends' parents.

In 2002, a big wave hit my family. Our home was foreclosed, and it shook us to the core. As a fresh Gahanna grad, I suddenly had a fire in me to understand real estate better. How did ownership really work? Meanwhile, I dabbled in different jobs, from working at home improvement stores to local bars. My life took a new turn when I met Kara at Home Depot in 2008. Unlike my nightlife full of parties, Kara, already a mom, had her feet grounded. She taught me about the joys of having a close-knit family, and soon, I knew I wanted a future with her.

The more time I spent with Kara, the more I discovered how important it was to be surrounded by the right people. When Mason, our son, was born, I became a stay-at-home dad, and we spent countless hours watching Curious George. This period had a profound impact on me. As I learned from Kara and her family, I realized the power of kindness and integrity. I looked back at that tough moment when my parents lost our home and saw it as a blessing in disguise. It led me to start my real estate journey, driven by the desire to help other families never face the same struggles. This idea eventually became "The Clear Path Home System," my way of making home buying or selling clear and calm for families.

Today, life is all about balancing work and family time. Every morning starts at 7 a.m., getting our kids ready before heading off to the office. By 4 p.m., you’ll find me at home for family dinners, followed by homework and either sports or board games, which are our absolute favorite! No matter what, spending time together is non-negotiable. 

My real estate work is all about guiding families to a bigger, more comfortable space. I do so with honesty, kindness, and transparency. These values don't just define my business—they define who I am. If there's one lesson I'd like to pass on, it’s kindness. It can make all the difference. After all, people might not remember what you say, but they'll never forget how you made them feel.
